After fine wins over Saint Mirren and Finn Harps in the opening two rounds, Lewis picked up where he left off with two quickfire early goals against the Gloucestershire side as more than 3200 supporters watched on. First Ollie Watkins bundled home a low cross before Josh Dasilva whipped in a trademark effort from the edge of the box.

Mathias Jensen made a key block early in the second-half as Forest Green started on the front foot. Taylor Allen then somehow missed from inside the six yard box before we were handed a contentious penalty with 20 minutes to play. Ollie Watkins opted to go down the middle effort but Conrad Logan guessed right and beat it to safety.

Lewis was then indebted to Luke Daniels for making a crucial one-on-one save before Watkins reacted quickest as Jensen's shot rebounded off the post and smashed home a third to seal passage through.

Lewis faces a daunting task in the Last 16 with Lille represented by FIFA 18 PS4 World Champion Steffano Pinna.

The tournament, started by Leyton Orient, is helping to raise money for EFL clubs in trouble given the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, as well as for two charities including MIND. The total so far has almost reached £55,000. You can donate here.
