Be prepared for travel and transport issues

Strike action will affect all UK train operations this weekend, so it’s important to plan ahead.

The nearest station to the stadium is Pokesdown, which is roughly a 15-minute walk. Please use the South Western journey planner to check if your route will be affected.

We anticipate more home and visiting supporters will travel by car, making the area surrounding the stadium extremely congested. Allow more time for your journey.

Matchday parking

Parking is available at the Avonbourne Academy free of charge.

The car park is a ten-minute level walk to the ground and avoids much of the congestion post game.

Avonbourne Academy (Formerly Harewood College) opens three hours prior to kick-off.

If you are using a SatNav, please refrain from using the postcode and instead use ‘Harewood Avenue’. Please note this car park is locked 30 minutes after the full-time whistle.

Parking is also available to the south of the ground for just £1. When driving to the ground, follow the brown road signs with a football logo to get to the Vitality Stadium.

Supporters wishing to park at the ground are advised to arrive early as the car park usually reaches capacity around 75 minutes before kick-off.

Supporters are likely to experience delays leaving the car park after the final whistle.

Entry to the Vitality Stadium

Bees fans will be situated in the East Stand, blocks 21-24, accessed via turnstile F.

Upon entry, electronic wands and 100 per cent searching will be in operation. Tickets are also checked at this point.

We urge supporters to enter the ground as early as possible as the searches can be quite time consuming. Gates open at 1.30pm.

For your own safety, standing is not permitted in seated areas. Please be respectful to your fellow supporters and sit in the seat allocated to you.

Food and drink

If you are looking for a pre-match bite, head to Boscombe.

Boscombe is a 15-minute walk from the ground and hosts several cafes and shops. The Mello Mello bar welcomes visiting fans.

The DC Lounge in the East Stand is open and welcomesboth home and visiting disabled supporters.

Have a safe trip and enjoy the match!
