Toumani Diagouraga has been named the 2014/15 Brentford Supporters’ Player of the Year.

Brentford Football Club asked fans to vote for the prize, which was presented at the Player of the Season Awards Night tonight, Sunday May 3, and thousands had their say.

Toumani emerged as the clear winner.

The 27-year-old is one of Brentford’s longest serving players, having completed a permanent move from Peterborough United in the summer of 2010 after a successful loan spell.

He had a spell out on loan at Portsmouth in early 2014 but returned to help Brentford win promotion from Sky Bet League One last season.

He forced his way in Brentford’s Championship team in the autumn and has won widespread acclaim for his performances.

He has played 38 Sky Bet Championship games this season in the defensive midfield role and has now made 217 appearances for The Bees in all competitions.

Toumani took the prize ahead of Alex Pritchard, who was second, and Jota, who finished third in the poll.
