Tom, who has been with Brentford since he was 15, made his First-Team debut for The Bees against Fulham in April 2016, marking the occasion with two assists in a 3-0 win. Last season, he made 17 appearances in all competitions, scoring his first two competitive goals in the 5-1 Emirates FA Cup Third Round victory over Eastleigh at Griffin Park, as well as signing a new long-term contract through to the summer of 2020.
The Bantams narrowly missed out on promotion to the Sky Bet Championship last season after defeat to Millwall in May’s Play-off Final at Wembley. Stuart McCall’s side started their campaign on Saturday with a 2-1 victory at home to newly-promoted Blackpool. However, the game was overshadowed by a serious injury suffered by Bradford full-back Adam Chicksen.
Brentford FC Head Coach Dean Smith said: “Tom is a player that we feel needs to continue his development and to do that he needs to be playing regular football. We had a number of clubs interested in taking Tom on loan but we felt Bradford City, with their fantastic fan base in League One, will give Tom a great opportunity to continue that development and fulfil his potential.”
