Three of the four Brentford B players called up to international squads were in action yesterday, Thursday 6 September. David Titov, Jaakko Oksanen and Jonny Mitchell had games across Europe, with Patrik Gunnarsson set to play tomorrow.

David Titov played the full match in Latvia Under-19s 2-1 defeat to FYR Macedonia. Titov's national side are hosting the 2018 Federation Cup in Riga during this international break. The other match in the tournament ended in a 3-0 win for Ukraine over the Faroe Islands.

Macedonia took the lead in the 57th minute when captain Bojan Kolevski capitalised on a mistake by Bogdan Samoilovs in his own half. With 75 minutes gone, they doubled the advantage when Kolevski netted his second, collecting a ball from Marko Gjorgjievski before slotting under goalkeeper Rudolfs Soloha.

With 10 minutes to go, Richards Ozolins scored with his first touch after coming on a susbtitute, nodding the ball into the net from a free-kick. In the first minute of time added on, Titov was shown a yellow card for a late challenge on Filip Antovski.

Further North, Jaakko Oksanen captained Finland's Under-19 squad to a 1-0 victory over Greece. Maximo Tolonen scored in the 29th minute, slotting the ball in after a cut back from Niklas Jokelainen. Then Finnish goalkeeper Rasmus Leislahti saved a penalty at the other end just before half-time.

Meanwhile, Jonny Mitchell played the final 20 minutes as Scotland Under-19s had to come from behind to beat Poland 3-1 in Brzeg.

The home side took the lead just before half-time, making The Scots come out and chase the game in the second period. It took until just after the hour mark for Zak Rudden to level things, then Elliot Watt and Jack Aitchison added the next two just nine minutes later.

The action continues tomorrow with goalkeeper Patrik Gunnarsson's Iceland Under-19 side up against Albania. That's the first of a double-header concluded on Monday 10 September. Tomorrow David Titov's Latvia play Faroe Islands in their next game of the tournament in Riga, that's before the final game on Monday against Ukraine. On Sunday, Jaakko Oksanen and Jonny Mitchell could be back on the field as Finland and Scotland play the second ties in their double-headers against Greece and Poland.
