Brentford has announced its ticketing arrangements for the 2023/24 season including details of priority ticket access windows.

Home and away fixture categories have also been confirmed based on the expected levels of demand and supply across all Premier League fixtures.

General admission ticket prices at Gtech Community Stadium across all categories have been frozen from last season. The club’s decision was welcomed and supported by the fan groups involved in the consultation process which has taken place over the past few months.

This consultation process, involving representatives of BIAS and Bees United, also considered a number of other amendments and improvements which, following positive feedback, will be implemented for the forthcoming season. These changes have been summarised below.

TAP thresholds lowered for home category A matches

The ticket access points (TAPs) thresholds for windows 1A and 1B for home cat A games have been lowered to 750+ TAPs and 500+ TAPs respectively. Window 2 will remain at 40+.

Why has this been changed? Last season, the threshold for window 1A was 1000+ TAPs and window 1B was 750+ TAPs. But we found that on average, only 50 per cent of available tickets were sold, with around one in six eligible members actually purchasing in these windows.

Based on this analysis, at the new TAPs levels we are not regularly expecting to sell out in windows 1A and 1B.  This means members with the highest TAPs will continue to have priority access to tickets but by lowering these thresholds we will enable more groups of fans to purchase together.

Supporters should note that we will continue to go on sale with 50 per cent of the tickets available in windows 1A and 1B. The remaining 50 per cent of tickets will become available when window 2 opens.

Adaptable away cat A TAPs thresholds

Last season, demand for each away fixture proved to be highly inconsistent, suggesting the fixed TAPs sales window schedule that we had in place could be improved.

Moving forward, we will instead use the data from the last two seasons to establish fair and efficient TAPs thresholds. This means that each cat A away fixture will be defined and communicated individually.

Being more flexible will result in opening fewer windows, allowing more season ticket holders to purchase sooner. This will help supporters confirm their plans in advance, and allow more fans to buy tickets in groups together.

Looking at the data from last season, 80 per cent of cat A fixtures went to at least window 3 and all but four matches were available to all season ticket holders.

While each match will be considered on its own merits - taking into account travel issues, kick-off times and TV selections - we expect that for some cat A games we will lower the threshold for window 1.

It is worth noting though that for away cat A matches where we expect very high demand for a lower-capacity stadium (like Fulham, Bournemouth and Luton), the thresholds will remain more in line with what they were last season.

Season ticket holders will have the ability to purchase an additional ticket on the ticket exchange

Due to the introduction of the Every Seat Counts policy and the improved ticket exchange on our new ticketing site, we anticipate many more tickets to be listed on the exchange in the 2023/24 season.

Members will still have the chance to purchase a ticket first via the ticket exchange. And season ticket holders’ ability to purchase an additional ticket from the ticket exchange is planned to be limited to specific cat B games where we have a higher number of available tickets. We will be flexible on when this window would open prior to a fixture but it is expected to be between 48-72 hours prior to a game. We will keep this policy change under review as we see the impact of the new ticket exchange and Every Seat Counts policy in action.

Refresh yourself on how the new Every Seat Counts policy will work and ensure that you retain your rights to renew your season ticket again next season.

We thank all fans involved in the consultation process for their time and feedback which helped us to shape and firm up these plans for next season.
