New contracts have been offered to three young Brentford players.
Central defender Alfie Mawson, who has spent the season on loan at Wycombe Wanderers, has been offered a new two-year contract while goalkeeper Mark Smith has been offered a one-year extension.
Josh Clarke, who has this season made the switch from right winger to right back, has also been offered a new one-year deal.
But seven other young players will not be offered new deals.
Louis Hutton, Tyrell Miller-Rodney, Kieran Morris, Emmanuel Oyeleke, Lionel Stone and Jack Warburton will be leaving Brentford when their contracts expire at the end of the season.
Joe Maloney has not been offered a new playing contract but has been offered a coaching role in the Academy.
Alfie, 21, has been one of the stars of Wycombe’s push for promotion from Sky Bet League Two.
He has been with the Buckinghamshire side for the whole of the 2014/15 season, playing 46 games, 44 of them in the league, and scoring five goals.
His performances have seen him named in the Football League Team of the Week twice, finish third in the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Year poll, voted for by League Two managers, and pick up the Player of the Year award from the Wycombe Wanderers Independent Supporters Club.
Alfie signed his second professional contract – a one-year deal – in the close season.
He had previously signed a two-year Development Squad contract in the summer of 2012 after completing his scholarship.
In an injury-hit 2012/13 season, Alfie played 11 games for The Bees in the Under-21 Professional Development League Two South.
He played 12 Under-21 league games in 2013/14, scoring three times, and made his First Team debut in the Capital One Cup defeat against Derby County before loan spells at Maidenhead United, Luton Town and Welling United.
Mark joined Brentford last summer following a successful trial after he was released by Queens Park Rangers.
He spent much of the season on loan at Hampton and Richmond Borough, playing 22 games for The Beavers.
The teenager goalkeeper also had a spell on loan at Hitchin Town and played eight games for Brentford’s Development Squad in the Under-21 Professional Development League.
Josh has been with Brentford since 2011 and was spotted playing park football before signing a two-year scholarship.
After progressing through the Club’s Academy he made his First Team debut in the Capital One Cup defeat to Derby County last season and also featured in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie against Peterborough United before making his Football League debut against Colchester United a year ago.
Josh has been on loan at Dagenham and Redbridge and Stevenage this year and also played 19 games for Brentford’s Development Squad in the Under-21 Professional Development League.
The 20-year-old – who has also had loan spells at Carshalton Athletic, Braintree Town and Maidenhead United – has made the switch from right wing to right back in the last few months.
Ose Aibangee, Brentford FC Academy Director, said: “We have always maintained that we only offer contracts to players that we believe can play for Brentford’s First Team.
“As the standard at the top of the Club improves it means we have to produce even better players.
“We think Alfie, Mark and Josh can reach that level and they deserve their new contract offers.
“Alfie has had a superb season at Wycombe.
“He has been almost ever-present in a team pushing for promotion and has proved he is one of the best defenders in League Two.
“Mark is a talented young goalkeeper who has the potential to improve further.
“He has got used to playing non-league football this season and has learned a lot from it.
“Josh has been with us a while and made real progress as a winger.
“But he fits the Club ideal as a right back and is now learning that position.
“We wanted to give him the chance to learn further with us as we believe he has the ability to excel in that role.”
Mark Warburton, Brentford FC Manager, added: “I would like to congratulate Alfie, Josh and Mark on their new contracts.
“This is another example of how well the loan system works.
“Alfie and Mark, in particular, have been out on loan and learning.
“Alfie was named as one of the best players in League Two by the managers at that level.
“The loaning clubs have benefited and the parent club – in this case Brentford – will be getting players with more experience under their belts.”
Joe, 20, has been with the Club from a young age.
He signed a one-year contract at the end of his scholarship in 2013 and then another last summer which included a coaching role in the Academy.
Joe played one game for Brentford’s Development Squad this year as he had moved more in to coaching, working with the successful Youth Team and younger age groups.
He will now remain at the Club in a purely coaching capacity.
Ose added: “Joe is a young man who would be described as a student of the game.
“He has been working on his coaching badges for a number of years as he unfortunately suffered with injuries when coming through.
“We believed he had talent as a coach and he has proved that this year.
“We are very keen to keep him on in that role and he can help us develop the next generation of Brentford stars.”
Of those leaving the Club, Emmanuel – better known as Manny to most – has been with Brentford longest.
He joined The Bees in 2010 and made his First Team debut in an FA Cup Second Round tie against Wrexham in December 2011 after progressing through the Academy.
He made two further First Team appearances, including a Football League debut at the end of 2011, and has spent much of the last two seasons on loan at Aldershot Town.
Manny, who has also had a loan spell at Woking, played 11 games for Brentford’s Development Squad this season.
Tyrell, who has just turned 21, joined Brentford on a scholarship in 2011, came through the Youth Team ranks and signed a one-year professional deal in 2013 before extending it last summer.
He has had loan spells at Carshalton Athletic, Boreham Wood and Maidenhead United and was an unused substitute in Brentford’s Capital One Cup defeat away at Derby in August 2013.
Tyrell played 12 development league games this term, scoring twice.
Lionel signed his first professional contract last summer after graduating from the Academy.
The 19-year-old, who has caps for Scotland at Under-17 level, has primarily played in the centre of defence over the past few years, having started out as a centre forward.
He was part of the Brentford side that reached the FA Youth Cup Fourth Round in 2011/12 when he was in the Under-16 squad – a team that also contained, Alfie, Josh and Tyrell.
This season Lionel played five Under-21 Professional Development League Two games and spent the end of the season on loan at Woking.
Kieran signed a new one-year contract in last summer after originally joining The Bees in 2013.
The centre back played for England Schoolboys in the Under-18 Centenary Shield and England Colleges in 2012/13, as well as playing for Brentford at Youth Team and Development Squad level before making the permanent switch to West London.
Kieran played nine times for the Development Squad in 2013/14 and has added another nine Under-21 Professional Development League Two appearances this season, mostly as a substitute.
He has also had loan spells at Stourbridge and Maidenhead. Louis signed a 16-month Brentford contract in February 2014.
The 20-year-old former England Under-17 international joined Brentford after agreeing a termination of his contract at Manchester City.
Louis, who was in Leeds United’s Academy until the age of 14, played four games for England’s Under-17 side in 2010 and has also represented his country at Under-16 level.
He played 13 development league games this season, scoring twice, and ended the season on loan at Godalming Town.
Jack, son of Brentford Manager Mark Warburton, signed a shot-term contract in January.
The 22-year-old came through the youth ranks at Watford before moving to Leicester City at the age of 17.
He completed his scholarship in 2011 and turned professional but left to move to Canada.
Jack signed for Hamilton Rage FC, which became Kitchener-Waterloo United FC, who play in the fourth tier of the American and Canadian soccer pyramid and completed the 2014 season before coming back to the UK.
Ose added: “Releasing players is never nice but we can only offer contracts to the players we believe can make the step in to the First Team.
“Just because there is not a new contract at Brentford does not mean these players will not have football careers if they choose to do so and I wish them all the best.
“Manny, Tyrell and Lionel, in particular, have been with us for quite a while and we have watched them develop.
“It has been a pleasure to work with these six young men and they have been great representatives of Brentford FC.
“I hope they achieve all they want in their careers.”
