Brentford FC and the Community Sports Trust held the second Bees Fan Zone that turned into a FAB Zone before the clash with Bristol City at The Waterman's Centre in Brentford. 300 participants joined us between 12noon and 2:30pm to take part in a number of fun activities for the whole family.

On the day participants were able to play football games in the Urban Cage Soccer, run by ex-professional Brentford footballer Allan Cockram and also enjoyed the opportunity to test the speed of their shot in a specially designed speed cage.

Global games provided an obstacle challenge with participants going head to head with a variety of individual skills including dribbling, chipping and accuracy activities.

Super skills sessions with Brentford FC Academy & Middlesex County FA enabled youngsters to get active, learn new skills and enjoy the game.

Former professional boxer and Hollywood stunt double Ollie Wilson was on hand to put youngsters and adults through their paces in his boxercise class.

Face painting is always popular ahead of a match at Griffin Park and some great designs were on show around the stadium.

BFC players were also involved with participants having the chance to meet first team centre forward Philipp Hofmann & Development squad midfielder Jan Holldack as they joined participants alongside our most famous furry fans – Buzz Bee and Buzzette.

BFC’s commitment to generating new fans ahead of our move to Lionel Rd ensured that the Fan Zone coincided with the Junior Club Day. 894 new fans were able to go to Griffin Park with the club providing priority access for FA Charter Standard clubs via discounted tickets.

Phil Cook, father of Amelie (aged 9) and Harry (aged 5) said: “This is the 4th generation of Bees fans in our family but it is my children’s first game today and we have had had a great time at the Fanzone.’’

8 year old Lucas Santos Silva said: "I loved the goody bags, made new friends and enjoyed the football.’’

Teenager Ackhira Blake-Thethy, attending with her younger sister Aynasia was also impressed, describing the event as “…..fun packed….” and “…..loved the head to head challenge with my sister and meeting the footballers.’’

Special thanks go to the Trust, Marketing, Ticketing team and Community partners for all their hard work on the event.
