The Algerian winger was in fine form in January, helping us keep up the pressure at the top of the Sky Bet Championship table. Said began the month with a goal during our 4-0 win on the road at Bristol City and then opened the scoring against Queens Park Rangers the following weekend.

That form saw Said pick up the fans' votes to beat Nahki Wells, Jed Wallace, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Dan Bentley, and Jack Butland to the prize.

Paul's daughter Molly, whose first Brentford game was our 6-0 Johnstone's Paint Trophy victory over AFC Bournemouth, entered the vote and was selected out of all the entrants to present the prize. When she couldn't attend, Paul, who is approaching half-a-century of supporting Brentford, stepped in to hand over the award to our Algerian magician alongside Liam.
