It’s been a wonderful second season for us in the Premier League.

And as we build up towards our final match we wanted to flag a few important points to ensure that we can all celebrate the season together.

After Sunday’s game against Manchester City, we are planning a guard of honour and a lap of appreciation with the players and coaching staff. This will be the chance to applaud them for their efforts and join them in bidding farewell to Pontus Jansson and Saman Ghoddos, both of whom will move to pastures new in the summer.

It will also give them the chance to thank you for the outstanding backing that they have received all season.

Please remain in the stands at the final whistle

This of course will only be possible if we are able to ensure that the pitch is safe and secure.

So, with that in mind, we would urge all fans to remain in the stands after the final whistle. By staying off the pitch we can all share a final moment of celebration together before the summer.

It is worth reminding everyone that entering the field of play is a criminal offence and may result in a criminal conviction, football banning order and club ban. These bans can also extend to accompanying parents or guardians of children who take part in this activity.

We have also seen other clubs being charged and fined by the football authorities in connection with high-profile pitch invasions given the risks caused to players, staff, officials and other fans.

On a similar note, flares, pyros and smoke bombs can cause injury and damage to the stadium. Possession or use of these in the ground may lead to a criminal conviction.

Home areas for home fans only

On the ticketing front, we know that demand will be high for this game but we want to make sure that home areas at the Gtech are for Brentford fans only.

This is an issue that we know is very important to you. You have told us that you want to be able to watch the Bees shoulder-to-shoulder with other Bees fans. So, we call on you to help us by not passing on your ticket to Manchester City fans.

Sadly, on the corresponding fixture of last season, some fans were subsequently banned from attending future games for passing on their tickets to Leeds United fans despite our clear warnings.

Fans should also be aware that the ticket transfer function has been switched off ahead of this match (for season tickets and premium seats). This is another pre-emptive measure to prevent the transfer of tickets for this match.

Safe home

After the celebrations, Brentford fans should also be aware they will not be able to exit via Thomas Leyton Way at the final whistle as this will be for away fans only.

There are additional trains running from Kew Bridge between 6pm and 7pm. Please check National Rail’s journey planner or Transport for London for details.

We want to finish strong both on and off the pitch on Sunday. Please consider the players and coaching staff and your fellow Bees fans in the post-match celebrations and make it another memorable day at the Gtech.
