Sunderland and Bolton Wanderers will be competing in the Sky Bet Championship next season after the latest round of fixtures. The Black Cats relegation from the Premier League was confirmed on Saturday after David Moyes' side lost 1-0 to AFC Bournemouth. Their relegation sets up a first meeting between Brentford and Sunderland since 1993. Heading in the other direction are Bolton Wanderers after they beat Peterborough United 3-0 this afternoon to secure second spot in Sky Bet League One and an instant return to the second tier.
As well as Brentford the following teams will all be staying in the division for next season's renewal of the Sky Bet Championship are:
Norwich City Derby County Preston North End Aston Villa Cardiff City Ipswich Town Wolverhampton Wanderers Bristol City Queens Park Rangers Burton Albion
Also confirmed to be in the second tier next season are Sheffield United after The Blades secured promotion with a 2-1 win over Northampton Town last Saturday.
