Brentford face Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough Stadium in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday (3pm kick-off GMT).

The match will not be broadcast live in the UK.

If you are heading to Hillsborough this weekend, here is everything you need to know to ensure you are ready for your visit.

Travelling by train

Direct trains to Sheffield station depart from London St Pancras International every 30 minutes and take just over two hours.

The last direct train home from Sheffield station to St Pancras leaves at 8pm. A later alternative is the 9.11pm train from Sheffield to Doncaster, you can then change trains to King’s Cross. This journey will take just under three hours.

Local travel to the ground

Hillsborough Stadium is over an hour’s walk from Sheffield station. It is recommended that you use public transport to get to the ground.

By tram, you can board the yellow route from the city centre to Leppings Lane which is a five-minute walk from the ground. Yellow route tram stops near to Sheffield train station include Fitzalan Square (S1 2AT) and West Street (S1 4GB). You can also board a blue route tram from the train station and change to a yellow route. Tram journeys will take approximately 20 minutes.

By bus, services 57 and 57A from Sheffield train station run every 30 minutes and will take you to within a short walk of the ground.

Travelling by car

For those travelling from London, exit the M1 at Junction 36 towards Sheffield city centre.

Please be aware that roads near to the stadium will be closed on matchday.

Parking at the stadium is permitted for permit holders only. Sheffield Wednesday operates two parking sites up to a 15 minute walk away from Hillsborough. These sites cost £10 per vehicle and can be booked online. You can also use Sheffield City Council’s website for a list of car parks in the city centre.

Ticketing information

Digital tickets are in use for this fixture. Attending fans (lead bookers) will be sent their tickets by email ahead of matchday.

If you have requested a paper ticket, you will need to collect your tickets at the ticket collection booth located in the west stand between gates six and seven.

If you’re collecting your ticket at Hillsborough, please remember to bring ID.

Please also observe and respect the family friendly seating. Anyone who holds a ticket in this area is reminded that they should be seated for the duration of the match.

Accessibility

Accessible parking is available only to blue badge holders. Spaces cost £10 and must be booked by calling Sheffield Wednesday’s box office on 0370 020 1867 (option 1). Spaces are first come, first served.

The accessible entrance to the west stand is next to turnstiles 14a through to 16a. There are nine wheelchair bays available to visiting supporters in the away section.

Please speak to a steward on the day if you need any additional support.

Your matchday at Hillsborough

Pubs near to the ground are for home fans only and have the right to turn away visiting supporters. It is recommended that you meet other Bees fans in the city centre, where there are many options to eat and drink.

The away section is located in the west stand and is accessible via Leppings Lane.

Any child aged 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult (18+) or risk being refused entry from the ground.

Sheffield Wednesday have a strict bag policy and you are strongly encouraged to not bring bags or rucksacks to the match. Any bag larger in size than A4 will not be allowed into the stadium. All bags are subject to searches.
