The young Swede will link up with his countrymen on 10 January for one week as they head to play friendly fixtures in Cyprus.

The game falls outside of the traditional international breaks within the footballing calendar but the football club has granted the youngster permission to turn out for his country as they look to ensure the team has as much of a chance to work together as possible.

The fixtures are yet to be confirmed but they will feature friendly games inbetween training sessions for the young Swedes.

Simon is expected to return to the Brentford B set up as Neil MacFarlane’s side head to Portugal to play three friendly fixtures over one week.

Simon joined the club in the summer of 2018 from Halmstads Bollklub and he has been a consistent figure within Sweden’s youth setup for a number of seasons.
