Sergi Canos’ fine start on the pitch with Olympiacos continued on Sunday with an assist in their 3-0 victory at Lamia.

Olympiacos took the lead just before the interval through Diadie Samassekou.

Canos, who had seen a long-range effort cannon back off the bar in the first half, then slid in Cedric Bakambu to make it 2-0 on the hour.

Pep Biel added a third late on as Olympiacos kept the gap to league leaders Panathinaikos at five points ahead of their mouth-watering meeting next Saturday evening.

Adamo Nagalo was sent off for Nordsjaelland with two minutes to play and Lyngby made the most of their man advantage through Alfred Finnbogason.

FCN have a four-point advantage at the top of the table with OB up next on Friday night.

In Holland, Joel Valencia played the final 25 minutes of De Graafschap’s 2-0 victory over Roda.

Both goals came in the first half as the Super Farmers opened up a five-point gap between themselves and the relegation zone.

Mads Bech missed FC Groningen’s 1-1 draw at home to FC Emmen through injury.

Halil Dervisoglu wasn’t involved as Burnley moved four points closer to the title this week. A 95th-minute Michael Obafemi goal rescued a point at home to Watford on Tuesday before a late Ashley Barnes penalty saw off Luton Town on Saturday.

Sky Bet League One

Aaron Pressley scored a crucial winner in Accrington Stanley’s battle to avoid the drop from League One.

Having played the full 90 minutes in Tuesday’s 2-0 defeat to Wycombe Wanderers, Pressley scored the only goal at home to Shrewsbury Town on Saturday which lifted Stanley out of the bottom four.

A place at Wembley is the prize on Wednesday night as Stanley host Bolton Wanderers in the northern area final of the EFL Trophy.

On Saturday, they then return to League One action at Burton Albion.

Myles Peart-Harris captained Forest Green Rovers on Saturday but couldn’t prevent them falling to a 4-0 defeat at home to promotion-chasing Ipswich Town.

That defeat, off the back of Tuesday’s 1-0 reverse at home to Charlton Athletic, which Peart-Harris played 90 minutes in, leaves Rovers eight points from safety with just 13 to play.

Those remaining games start with a visit from Lincoln City next weekend.

Ellery Balcombe is still waiting for his first win with Bristol Rovers following their goalless draw at home to Ipswich Town and 2-1 defeat to Burton Albion this week.

Balcombe impressed in both games, making a string of fine saves, but it’s now seven without a win for Joey Barton’s side.

Rovers host Barnsley on Saturday, hoping to arrest their slide down the table.
