It was a hugely emotional night on Monday for Sergi Canos as he scored his first Olympiacos goal just five days after the death of his mother.

Canos dedicated his goal, the fourth in a 6-1 Greek Super League win over Panetolikos, to his mother by revealing a message on his shirt after scoring.

The victory comes after his debut against PAOK last week and moves Olympiacos up to third in the table ahead of their trip to bottom-of-the-table Lamia next Sunday.

Also in Europe, Mads Bech is facing around a month out due to the arm injury he picked up against FC Twente last weekend.

In his absence, FC Groningen were beaten 6-0 by fourth-placed PSV in the Eredivisie.

Joel Valencia started both games for De Graafschap this week.

Valencia assisted Giovanni Korte for the Super Farmers' second goal in their 3-0 KNVB Cup victory over De Treffers, before playing 70 minutes of their 2-0 league defeat to NAC Breda.

De Graafschap host Roda next Sunday.

Championship

Charlie Goode suffered a hamstring injury early in Blackpool’s 2-2 draw against Huddersfield Town last Tuesday.

The defender was forced off after 28 minutes at Bloomfield Road - the home side rescuing a point late on with two goals in the final eight minutes.

He then missed the weekend’s goalless draw against Rotherham United which saw the Seasiders drop to the foot of the table.

Tariqe Fosu played the full 90 minutes in that game for Rotherham, his third appearance since his switch to the New York Stadium.

Four points above the drop zone, the 20th-placed Millers travel to Reading on Tuesday night, before hosting Coventry City at the weekend.

Halil Dervisoglu was an unused substitute for Burnley’s 2-1 Emirates FA Cup fourth-round replay victory over Ipswich Town last Tuesday.

He then wasn’t involved at the weekend, as Vincent Kompany’s side brushed aside Preston North End thanks to a Nathan Tella hat-trick.

On the back of 10 straight league wins, top-of-the-table Burnley host Watford on Tuesday, before travelling to Luton Town at the weekend.

League One

Aaron Pressley scored his third goal for Accrington Stanley last Tuesday, helping to secure a point away at Port Vale.

Pressley scored from the spot seven minutes after the restart, but his goal was cancelled out five minutes later by David Worrall.

Then on Saturday, the striker played 70 minutes of Stanley’s goalless draw against Cheltenham Town.

Two points from safety, Accrington host Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday night, before welcoming Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.

MK Dons are the side that Accrington are currently chasing in the relegation battle, and Mark Jackson's side picked up a point at home to Oxford United on Saturday.

Paris Maghoma played 80 minutes at Stadium MK, as former Bees loanee Sullay Kaikai saw his early effort for MK cancelled out after the break by Lewis Bate.

MK face two tough away trips at promotion-chasing Bolton Wanderers and Sheffield Wednesday this week.

Myles Peart-Harris played the full 90 minutes for Forest Green Rovers, as Duncan Ferguson’s side were denied all three points by an 89th-minute Morecambe equaliser.

Reading loanee Jahmari Clarke netted for Forest Green with nine minutes remaining, but Cole Stockton levelled in the dying seconds of normal time.

Seven points from safety, Forest Green host Charlton Athletic tonight before heading to third-placed Ipswich Town on Saturday.

Ellery Balcombe and Bristol Rovers suffered a fourth-straight league defeat on Saturday.

Regan Poole’s 14th-minute strike proved enough for Lincoln City to take the points at Sincil Bank.

Rovers’ afternoon got worse just before the break with striker Ryan Loft shown a straight red card.

Balcombe made a string of fine saves to keep the Imps out and now has a trip to Ipswich Town and home game against Burton Albion to look forward to this week.

League Two

Lachlan Brook played the final six minutes of Crewe Alexandra’s game at Crawley Town on Saturday.

A pair of Dan Agyei penalties looked to be giving the Railwaymen the points, but Ben Gladwin scored a 97th-minute equaliser for the home side.

Crewe have an eight-point buffer to the relegation places with games against fellow strugglers Hartlepool and Harrogate Town coming up this week.
