Dean Smith’s side put defeat to Play-Off contenders Reading behind them by taking the three points away at another of the division’s pace-setters Sheffield Wednesday a week later. The B Team’s only fixture of late February saw goals from Reece Cole and Raphael Assibey-Mensah ensure Brentford B took the win against Stevenage in their latest friendly match. That news was followed shortly as Nathan Fox left Brentford after a mutual agreement was reached for the termination of his contract. The 20-year-old Brentford B defender had four months left to run on his contract and had been with the Club for just over a year.

Brentford Women’s troubles in 2017 continued as they took just one point from two games to all-but end their promotion hopes. Nadia Peters' double wasn't enough as Brentford Women's conceded twice in the final 20 minutes as Kingstonian came from behind to win 3-2 before Jenn Amols Brett’s unstoppable injury-time free-kick secured a point for Brentford Women’s FC as they drew 1-1 with Bromley LFC a week later.
