Rhino met The Bees at the Brentford FC Training Ground today.

Status Quo bass guitarist John ‘Rhino’ Edwards was at the Training Ground today to meet the Brentford FC players and management.

He handed over a signed guitar that will be up for auction at the Brentford FC Player of the Year Ball on Sunday, May 4.

The guitar is a piece of rock history, it is signed by ALL members of Status Quo, both past and present.

The White Fender® Telecaster® Guitar (Serial Number: CY130505120) was or will be personally signed by the following past and present Status Quo members (In alphabetical order): Andrew Bown, Leon Cave, John Coghlan, John Rhino Edwards, Alan Lancaster, Matthew Letley, Rick Parfitt, Jeff Rich and Francis Rossi.

Brentford FC is giving those not able to attend on Sunday a chance to bid for the guitar.

The highest bid at 12noon on Sunday will be the starting price for the auction later that evening.

Brentford FC will call the highest bidder on Sunday afternoon to take credit card details (which will only be processed in the event of winning the auction).

The bid will only be confirmed once credit card details are taken on Sunday.

If no one in attendance goes higher, the guitar will go to the email bidder.

The guitar comes with a letter of provenance from Status Quo and is a one off item.

Updates on the auction will be published on www.brentfordfc.co.uk and the Club’s Twitter feed over the next 60 hours.

Rhino was also on site at the time of the updated Brentford FC Team Group.

The Club have taken a new team photo to mark promotion from Sky Bet League One.

This picture will be available to view for the first time in the Brentford FC match day programme on Saturday, May 3, when The Bees welcome Stevenage to Griffin Park for a Sky Bet League One match.
