Regan Graver was left disappointed following Brentford Women’s First Team’s defeat to Dorking Wanderers in the London South East Regional Women’s Football League Division One North on Sunday afternoon.
Speaking on the game, Graver said: “Overall we definitely should have played better in the second half, we started the game so well, but it seemed to all fall apart in the second 45.”

An early goal from Dorking was followed up by a brilliant finish from top goal scorer Chloe Logie.
An exquisite pass from Sophie Troth found the number nine who took one touch before smashing the ball into the bottom corner, putting the Bees on level terms going into the break.
Graver explained the feeling in the dressing room at half-time following Logie’s equaliser.
She explained: “Everyone was buzzing in the changing room, we felt ready for the second half and to go out there and get the win.
“Unfortunately we didn’t deliver which is tough to take.”
Dorking began the penultimate half catching the hosts off guard as they scored on 46 minutes, they then went on to score another three goals before the full-time whistle was blown, ending the Bees seven-game unbeaten run.

Graver continued: “I think our heads just dropped immediately after their early goal, we weren’t playing as positively as we usually do, and we didn’t really look like we were going to score enough goals which would get us back in the game.”
With two consecutive away league games coming up, Graver believes it’s important for the First Team to regroup and bounce back in order to give themselves any hope of gaining promotion.
“After this loss we need to pick ourselves up and give it our all for the rest of the season.
“If we end up dropping anymore more points then it could completely rule out promotion, so we must get back to winning ways and keep Dorking on their toes.”

The Women’s First Team will look to get back on track this weekend as they return to league action against Leatherhead.
