The B Team midfielder, with First Team minutes under his belt, spoke to iFollow last week to look ahead to the match and look back at the 3-1 win over Manchester United.

"I think we were happy," said Reece. "We didn't have a great start but everyone is going to make mistakes in a game and it's about how we react to it. I thought you saw after that in the next 10 or 15 minutes, we had them pinned back into their half. So it was quite a dominant performance from us."

Reece got himself on the scoresheet, taking Brentford's third of the afternoon in style by placing it into the bottom corner from outside the box. He was asked about how important it is for him to score goals from the middle of the park.

"Massively as a midfielder," said Reece. "The type of midfielder I am, going from box to box, I need to be able to score goals as well as defend. I need to play the passes that make the assists and things like that, so to get goals to my name gets my name out there a bit more as well. Hopefully I can keep on scoring the goals between now and the end of the season."

B Team Head Coach Kevin O'Connor praised the way his side approached the occasion of a game against Manchester United in his post-match comments (here). Reece agreed with that statement.

"I think we're used to playing against the big names now," said Reece. "We've played against them two or three times now, as well as City and Chelsea, so it doesn't really phase us anymore. We're confident going into the games."

Henrik Johansson made a long-awaited return to action against United with a cameo at the end of the game. Reece acknowledged the Swedish winger in his pre-match comments.

"It was really nice to see Henrik back in the squad," said Reece. "He's been working hard. I think you could see on Twitter, everyone was congratulating him because he's had a hard time and he's come through strong. Hopefully he can push on now and start impressing."

Then Reece looked ahead to the Chelsea game to come on Tuesday afternoon. He said: "It's going to be a technical game of football. They are going to hopefully try and play, which will suit us with how we press and how we act defensively off the ball. Hopefully it will be a good game for us to play in and for whoever comes to watch.

"We've got so much confidence. It's showing in training, the confidence the boys have, we try and do things and the coaches are allowing us to do them. We just need to keep on pushing."

The 20-year-old also added some comments on his own future, talking about where he sees himself at the Club in the next few months.

"I'd like to be a First Team squad member," said Reece. "Hopefully, I can get a few more appearances under my belt and just try and keep on impressing in these B Team games. I'll try to keep getting goals and just impressing really.

"My main goal [next season], is to be a First Team player here. I want to prove to everyone, the staff and everyone else, that I can be a First Team player and I can step up and do my job."
