As part of their coverage of Brentford's Sky Bet Championship West London derby against Queens Park Rangers Sky Sports spoke at length with Pontus Jansson. The Bees host QPR this evening, Friday 27 November, in a match that will kick-off at 7.45pm. The match will, unfortunately, be behind closed doors but will be live on Sky Sports and coverage will begin at 7pm.

During the build-up to tha game, there will be an interview with Pontus. The skipper spoke earlier this week about the importance of the match. He did, however, reveal it wouldn't be quite the same without supporters in the ground.

"You play football for the fans. That's how I am," Pontus said. "I've been a fan since I was a kid myself and I always go to games. I love the atmosphere. Now it's starting to be normality to play football without fans and I don't want it to be like that.

"Even if it's only 2,000 or 4,000, it's going to be so nice to have fans back and that's the first step to going back to a normal football life. I search on YouTube every day for football chants and atmosphere because I miss it so much!

"When you prepare for the game, everyone around talks about it being a big derby but when there are no fans you don't get that feeling. It's a game where we're competing for three points - like every other game - but it's easier to prepare for a derby when there are fans because they make it more real for you.

"We just have to accept it. We know it's a derby and it's going to be a great game."

Pontus also spoke about the hectic schedule and recovering from injury. He also discussed the season so far. A write-up of the interview can be seen here and the piece will be broadcast this evening.

As per Club communication, those that froze their Season Tickets will be able to watch on iFollow Brentford. See more here. Fans who do not have Sky Sports can access the game online via Now TV. Fans can pay for one-day access, which would also give them the ability to watch today's other live sport. Alternatively there are longer passes available. See more here.
