The Bees' skipper was earning his 27th cap at senior level as Sweden went looking for their first points in League A3. However, it wasn't to be as Bernardo Silva's 21st minute strike and a Diogo Jota double ensured the hosts took the points. The Swedes have found their first campaign in League A tough going and will need to pick up points against Croatia and France next month to avoid an immediate return to League B.

There was better for Henrik Dalsgaard and Mathias Jensen with Denmark in League A2 as they beat ten-man England 1-0 at Wembley. The Bees duo were named on the bench as Christian Eriksen's 35th minute penalty decided matters. The goal came shortly after Harry Maguire saw red for the Three Lions, Reece James was also dismissed after the final whistle. While Henrik remained on the bench, Mathias was introduced for the final two minutes to earn his second senior cap.

Victory moves Denmark up to second in their group, two points behind Belgium who they face in Brussels on matchday six. Before that is a home game against bottom-of-the-table Iceland.
