A decade of the Premier League Charitable Fund was marked this week. The fund creates and supports activities that inspire young people to achieve their potential and positively impact their communities. Since the charity was formed in 2010, more than 1.4 million young people have been involved in one of the programmes, festivals or community activities delivered through the community arm of Premier League and English Football League clubs in England and Wales.
Brentford FC Community Sports Trust works with the PLCF on a series of projects. Premier League Kicks is a unique collaboration between 69 Premier League, English Football League and National League clubs. The nationwide initiative supports young people through weekly football, sport and personal development sessions.
There is also work going on off the sporting pitch. The Premier League’s Primary Stars initiative, uses the appeal of the Premier League and professional football clubs to inspire children to learn, be active and develop important life skills. The scheme offers a range of bespoke curriculum-linked teaching resources aimed at Key Stages One and Two, including lesson plans, activity ideas, worksheets and video content.
Congratulations from all at Brentford FC to PLCF on their anniversary. More can be seen below.
