Pione Sisto has won the Danish Superliga Player of the Year award for 2014.
He plays for FC Midtjylland, the Danish club that Brentford owner Matthew Benham has a controlling stake in.
They currently lead the Danish Superliga by seven points from their nearest rivals, Randers.
Sisto, who was born in Uganda of Sudanese parents, is expected to be granted Danish citizenship shortly, which will allow him to play for the Danish national side.
The 19-year-old midfielder made his made his league debut during the 2012/13 Danish Superliga season.
Last season proved to be the breakthrough one for Pisto, with 27 appearances and six goals, which led his fellow Superliga professionals to vote him their Player of the Year.
He has scored seven goals in 15 Danish Superliga matches so far this season.
