The next round of Premier League games starts this evening and Fantasy Premier League managers are getting prepared. The first game of the weekend is tonight, Friday 5 November, and the deadline for FPL bosses to choose their teams is just hours away. And the FPL experts have identified Brentford as a team to look at.

Every week there are a series of tips for Fantasty Premier League Managers. This week Ethan Pinnock has been selected as a player that could make a difference for those looking to have a good week in FPL. The defender and Ivan Toney have also been chosen in a list of the best players to select.

In a piece here, The Scout - who writes about Fantasy Premier League for the Premier League - has suggested Ethan as one of five players that will offer value this week. Every week five players are chosen by The Scout. Ethan is on that list this week and also, like Ivan, in The Scout's team for the week.

"Pinnock has been among the best players for value in Fantasy this season," writes The Scout. "Pinnock has totalled 42 points over his 10 appearances, combining a goal and an assist with three clean sheets. He has returned 8.9 points per million (ppm) spent, a total bettered by just four players in 2021/22.

"Pinnock’s fellow centre-back Pontus Jansson (£4.7m) has offered identical value, returning 42 points and 8.9ppm. However, the attacking statistics suggest Pinnock is the better choice. His five shots in the box and three shots on target are both more than any other Brentford defender. Pinnock has also created six chances compared with the two of Jansson."

The Scout's team for the week and other tips can be seen below. There is also a discussion of that selection by other FPL experts. Many of them agree that Pinnock and Toney are players to watch with Bryan Mbeumo also named.

FPL is live with the season underway and managers can make changes to their squad ahead every week. For the first time ever, you can put Brentford players in it. You can play in classic leagues, with total points deciding the rankings, or take part in head-to-head leagues, where managers duel each Gameweek, earning three points for a win and one for a draw.
