What's the mood like at QPR heading into tonight's game?
It is relatively positive at Loftus Road at the moment. They had a difficult result at Sheffield Wednesday last time out but were pleased with the performance. They have beaten Bristol City and drawn with Reading after the international break and had the win over Fulham before the break. Nobody is quite sure how they won that game, with Fulham missing a hat-full of chances and two penalties but those are the breaks sometimes.
How will QPR look to set up tonight?
It is a Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink team there now. He has the players that he wants in there and he has been working towards a certain system. It is quite predictable how his teams will try and set up. They are very defense orientated, will try and keep things tight, and nick the odd goal here and there.
It was another busy summer on the player front, what did fans make of their transfer business?
The mood around the club varies depending on who you speak to. They are doing things a lot more sensibly than they were under previous managers, especially in that Premier League yo-yo era. They are trying to sign players who are up and coming and who have had leadership roles previously like Jake Bidwell, Jordan Cousins, and Joel Lynch. That has certainly been a profile of the players that they signed in the summer. They needed to improve the dressing room and that has been the business they have been trying to do.
Who are the players to look out for tonight?
Tjaronn Chery is probably QPR’s best and most creative player. He always links up well with Sebastian Polter and they work well together as a pair. Idrissa Sylla has scored a couple of goals. Massimo Luongo has been impressive in the midfield and at the back they have quality in the likes of Stephen Caulker. Saying that Chery and Polter and probably QPR’s two key men.
How do you see tonight's game going?
It is going to be a tight game for me. I think it is a first goal wins contest so it could come down to a bit of magic or a defensive mistake like the game in March. I didn’t think there was much in it but then Junior Hoilett sticks one in the top corner and that sent them on their way. Having said that my prediction for tonight is a 0-0 draw.
