After a weekened without a fixture, Brentford will return to action with the first of three away games, and four matches overall, in ten days. It also begins a run of 15 games in 42 days that will take The Bees in to 2021. Brentford travel to Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday, 21 November, in a match that will kick-off at 3pm.

Before the break for international fixtures, Brentford played seven matches in 21 days and lost just one of those. Three wins in that run leaves The Bees 11th in the table, three points away from the Play-Off places. They are also only six behind league leaders Reading in a Sky Bet Championship that became increasingly condensed as the fixtures were played.

Wycombe lost to Nottingham Forest last time out but had taken seven points from the three games before that. Those are, however, the onlt seven points they have earned this season. The Chairboys lost their first seven in the league this term but do sit two places off the bottom and are only inside the relegation zone by a point.

This is Wycombe's first ever season in the second tier. They won promotion via the Play-Offs last season after a controversial end to the campaign. Wycombe made the Play-Offs on a points-per-game basis after League One was curtailed. They jumped from ninth when the season was ended, to third on points-per-game before beating Fleetwood Town over two legs and then Oxford United at Wembley Stadium to win promotion.

Their first game as a Championship side was against Brentford. The teams met in a Carabao Cup tie in early September, the first competitive game at our new home. Ethan Pinnock put The Bees in front but Wycombe levelled to take the game to a penalty shoot-out that Brentford won.

Saturday's match will, unfortunately, be behind closed doors. It will, however, be available live on iFollow Brentford. As per the EFL communication on the broadcast arrangements for the new season, all of a team's games not selected for live coverage by Sky Sports will only be available on that platform. The announcement here also confirms that a team's away matches can only be purchased on a game-by game basis. Fans that want to watch will need to sign up for iFollow and pay £10 to tune in (£7 for international fans). Buy your Match Pass and watch the game as we take on The Chairboys.
