For the second season in a row, Brentford's season will end at the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final. The Bees will face Swansea City on Saturday, 29 May, at Wembley Stadium. The match will kick-off at 3pm and the winning team will earn a place in the Premier League.

Brentford won through after a memorable, frantic game yesterday. The Bees trailed 1-0 to AFC Bournemouth after the first match and fell behind on the day as Arnaut Danjuma raced clear to score. But Ivan Toney scored a penalty and Chris Mepham was sent off for Bournemouth as The Bees battled back. Vitaly Janelt gave Brentford the lead on the day and Marcus Forss scored to give The Bees a 3-2 aggregate win.

Swansea had a 1-0 lead going in to their game with Barnsley last night. They made it 2-0 on aggregate as Matt Grimes scored. Barnsley levelled on the evening but could not equalise on aggregate and Swansea progressed.

The teams finished third and fourth in the Championship table this season. The Bees ended up seven points clear of Swansea but the teams spent most of the season in close proximity in the standings. It was only a run of three wins in 11 games that saw Swansea slip out of the running for automatic promotion and behind The Bees.

This will be the next in a line of matches between these two teams. Both games this season ended 1-1 and both saw The Bees edge ahead before Swansea equalised late on. Swansea probably had the better of the first game, in West London, while Brentford held the upper hand in South Wales, but the spoils were shared.

The sides met in the Play-Off Semi-Finals last season. Swansea won in Wales but Brentford battled back to win the Second Leg 3-1 and reach the Play-Off Final, before losing to Fulham. The Bees won both regular season games in 2019/20 but Swansea won all three meetings the season before, twice in the Championship and in the FA Cup.

The game will be played in front of spectators at Wembley and it is currently anticipated there will be a limit of 10,000 in attendance. Ticket information for Brentford fans was released today. More information can be seen here.

The match will also be live on Sky Sports. Fans who do not have Sky Sports can access the game online via Now TV. Fans can pay for one-day access, which would also give them the ability to watch that day's other live sport. Alternatively there are longer passes available. See more here.
