Myles Peart-Harris made his EFL debut on Saturday, but it was one to forget as Forest Green Rovers were beaten 5-0 away at Sheffield Wednesday.

Myles had made his debut for Rovers off the bench during their 3-0 Carabao Cup defeat to Brighton last Wednesday and came into the starting XI for the trip to Hillsborough.

Josh Windass and Barry Bannan struck inside the opening 20 minutes to put Rovers firmly on the back foot. Liam Palmer added a third on the half-hour, with Lee Gregory netting a fourth in first-half injury time. A Dom Bernard own goal ten minutes after the restart completed Rovers’ miserable afternoon.

Forest Green host Southampton Under-21s in the Football League Trophy tomorrow night before welcoming Shrewsbury Town to the New Lawn Stadium on Saturday in League One.

Saturday’s defeat dropped Forest Green into the League One relegation zone, with MK Dons and Daniel Oyegoke one of the sides to overtake them. MK’s 4-0 win over Morecambe completed a fine week for Liam Manning’s side who also dumped Watford out of the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.

Daniel didn’t feature in Saturday’s league win but did play the full 90 minutes of the victory over Watford, which set up a Third Round tie at home to Morecambe in November. MK face Cheltenham in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday night before making the trip to League One trip to Exeter City on Saturday.

In the Sky Bet Championship, Tariqe Fosu came off the bench in Stoke City’s 1-0 win over Blackburn Rovers. With new manager Alex Neil watching on, Stoke took the points at Ewood Park thanks to Lewis Baker’s 27th-minute goal.

Tariqe played the final 20 minutes and will hope for more action this week as The Potters host Swansea on Wednesday before travelling to his former club Reading on Sunday.

Mads Bidstrup and FC Nordsjaelland returned to the summit of the Danish Superliga yesterday with a 3-1 victory at home to Copenhagen. Andreas Schjelderup and Mohammed Diomande put FCN in full control inside 25 minutes. Oliver Antman and Pep Biel then traded second-half injury-time goals to complete the scoring. Mads played the full 90 minutes in the heart of midfield.

FCN head to Frem in the Danish Cup on Wednesday night before visiting AGF in the league next Monday.

In Sky Bet League Two, Lachlan Brook looks set for an extended spell on the sidelines after suffering an ankle injury. Crewe boss Alex Morris expects Brook to miss the next six weeks after picking up the injury during Alex’s 2-2 draw with Northampton Town last weekend. In the Australian’s absence, Crewe drew 0-0 with Bradford City on Saturday to remain just inside the Play-Off places.

Paris Maghoma and Nathan Young-Coombes both started as AFC Wimbledon were beaten 1-0 at home by Barrow. Winger Josh Gordon go the only goal came after just ten minutes as AFC slipped to 12th in the early table. Paris played the full 90 minutes while Nathan was withdrawn with seven minutes to play.

The Dons host Aston Villa U21 in the EFL Trophy tomorrow night before a league trip to struggling Stockport County on Saturday.
