More than 270 guests were present at the latest Brentford FC Sporting Dinner, which was held at the end of last month. The event was kindly sponsored by the BFC Lifeline Society and Utilita Energy and the guest speakers were BBC Match of the Day commentator John Motson and Chelsea’s FA Cup and European Cup Winners' Cup captain, Ron ‘Chopper’ Harris. The host and MC for the evening was Ian Richards, who entertained those present.

The event was held at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel, at Heathrow, and during the evening, guests were regaled by stories from the speakers about football life one and off the pitch. There was also a chance to take part in an auction that included some top lots. Among the goods up for grabs were a test drive out at Silverstone, courtesy of Porsche, tickets for a Chelsea Premier League game and meeting past Chelsea legends, and the opportunity of two people having photographs with the Brentford squad on Official Photoshoot day.

Brentford FC would also like to thank the following local companies who donated prizes for the fundraising raffle: Charlotte’s Group of Restaurants, Watermans Arts Centre Brentford, Limeyard All Day California Kitchen, Chiswick House, Siracusa Restaurant, Fullers Brewery, Haweli of Ealing Indian Cuisine, Pho Saigon Vietnamese Restaurant, Ealing Park Tavern and Syon House & Gardens.

Look out soon for more details of the next BFC Sporting Dinner, scheduled for November 2018.
