Mathias Jensen became a record holder on Wednesday night, despite Denmark missing out on qualification from Group D at the FIFA World Cup.
The 26-year-old earned his 22nd international appearance in Qatar, making him just the second player to reach this milestone while playing for the Bees.
He drew level with fellow Dane Henrik Dalsgaard, who was with the Club from 2017 to 2020.
Denmark lost a narrow encounter 1-0 to Australia, with Mathew Leckie scoring the only goal after an hour at Al Janoub Stadium.
The result sent the Socceroos through to the knockout stage, as they finished group runners-up behind world champions France.
Head coach Kasper Hjulmund swapped Jensen for Brentford team-mate Mikkel Damsgaard with 59 minutes gone, while Christian Norgaard remained on the bench throughout.

The previous night saw Saman Ghoddos come off the bench to play his first minutes for Iran at this tournament. He was a half-time substitute during their 1-0 defeat to the United States, which also saw the team miss out on qualification for the next round.
Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic scored the only goal of the game in the first half, which was enough to see the Americans into second place behind England in Group B.
Ghoddos was introduced in place of Sardar Azmoun at the interval, coming on and firing a shot just over the crossbar as Iran chased the game in the later stages.

Goalkeeper David Raya will be hoping Spain can advance to the knockout stage with a win against Japan on Thursday evening, while forward Bryan Mbeumo’s Cameroon need a result against Brazil to qualify from Group G.
So far Raya has been on the bench for both Spain games; a 7-0 drubbing of Costa Rica and a 1-1 draw with Germany.
Mbeumo has featured in both a 1-0 loss to Switzerland and an incredible 3-3 draw with Serbia.
