Goals from Michael Cheek, Kory Roberts, Ben Williamson and James Alabi earned the home side the win, with Julien Carre netting the solitary Brentford goal.
Neil MacFarlane named a youthful squad with just the one First Teamer involved in Ellery Balcombe as he stepped up his return from injury as Brentford B played their first match since having to go through two weeks of isolation after a positive Covid-19 test within the group.
It was the home side who started the brighter using their physical advantage from the off as they put the Brentford goal under pressure. Just five minutes in a corner was kept alive and flicked goalwards from close range which Balcombe did well to stop with his body.
Five minutes later Bromley took a, perhaps, deserved lead when another cross into the box was guided towards goal before an unmarked Michael Cheek fired home from close range unmarked.
Joe Kizzi would have another opportunity shortly after when he headed over from a corner before The Bees began to see more of the ball in and around the 20-minute mark. This created the first opening as one of the Trialists cut inside before his shot was blocked into the path of Paris Maghoma who then curled an excellent ball into the path of Aaron Pressley whose header lacked conviction as the keeper collected.
A Chris Bush free-kick would see Bromley go close once again but his curled left footed effort edged just over before Kizzi’s effort from distance edged over.
The Trialist would have another effort as the half drew to a close but he miscued his shot wide as the sides went into the break with the score at 1-0.
The second half was just seven minutes old when the hosts managed to double their advantage, and it came through Roberts, when a deep cross to the far post found the Bromley man who nodded home from a tight angle which prevented Brentford from getting a foothold in the game.
On the hour mark The Bees did manage to have a spell of better play, and a good chance came when Alex Gilbert received the ball out on the left before floating a delicate ball onto the head of Aaron Pressley who was unable to keep his header on target under considerable pressure from two defenders.
But despite some better play they were unable to prevent Bromley from grabbing another when Ben Williamson managed to get on the end of a cross from the left which saw an instinctive finish nestle in the far corner.
But the Bees kept battling to get on the scoresheet, and it came in style when Carre received the ball on the edge of the box before curling home into the top corner to make it 3-1.
Despite pulling a goal back it would be Bromley who would be next to find the net to put an end to any hope of a Brentford come back when Alabi pounced on a mistake between Aubrel Koutsimouka and Balcombe to slot home into an empty net as it finished 4-1.
