Millwall vs Brentford

Saturday 10 March

The Den, 3pm

Sky Bet Championship

The Opposition

Short-priced for relegation at the start of the campaign, Millwall have enjoyed a superb first season back in the second-tier and, going into the penultimate full month of the season, still have a realistic chance of a run to the Play-Offs.

After a solid, if not spectacular, 2017 in the Championship, The Lions have been rampant since the turn of the year. Neil Harris' men are unbeaten in ten in the league and have taken 17 points from a possible 21 heading into tomorrow's game. While they have only won one of their last six in all competitions at home, they are unbeaten at The Den since November, form which has them just six points outside the Play-Offs going into the final ten games.

Team News

For The Bees, Florian Jozefzoon is being assessed after picking up a foot injury during Tuesday night's 2-0 win over Burton Albion at The Pirelli Stadium. Other than him, and long-term absentee Rico Henry, Dean Smith has a fully fit squad to choose from.

Millwall's injury list is equally as short following Aiden O'Brien's return to fitness this week. Byron Webster will be the only Lion absent as he continues to recover from a serious knee-injury.

The Manager

A legend on the pitch, Neil Harris is fast becoming a legend off it too as he continues his remarkable managerial job at The Den. The 40-year-old spent ten years with Millwall over two spells. He scored 138 goals in all competitions, beating the previous record held by Teddy Sheringham. Harris also battled and beat testicular cancer during a playing career that took him to Cardiff City and Nottingham Forest and Gillingham but was mostly spent at Millwall.

Harris had a spell as caretaker boss during the 2013/14 season, having worked with the Under-21 side at The Den after his playing career ended. When Holloway left, Harris took over again but couldn’t keep Millwall in the second tier. He was given the job permanently in the summer of 2015 and in two full seasons has led The Lions to the Play-Off Final and then promotion.
