This will be the second consecutive fixture for the young Bees against a National League outfit having come up against Bromley last weekend.

The young Bees will be aiming for an improved result, having gone down to a 4-1 defeat against an experienced Bromley team, but with another 90 minutes in the legs following their two weeks of isolation last month, the side will back themselves to put up a strong performance against Aldershot.

Aldershot have played twice this season in the National League, falling to two defeats against Hartlepool and then Sutton United in midweek. Danny Searle’s side were beaten 2-1 in both games and will be aiming to get more minutes against Brentford B to stand them in good stead to return to National League action. Aldershot do not have a game scheduled in their league calendar this weekend due to Macclesfield Town’s expulsion from the division.

As Aldershot welcomed Sutton in midweek, they fell behind to a 39th minute strike from the away side before Mohamed Bettamer pulled a goal back with 15 minutes to play, but unfortunately for The Shots, an 85th minute own goal would see them slip to defeat.

The 2019/20 National League season, which was curtailed early due to the Covid-19 pandemic, saw Aldershot finish 18th in the division and they’ll be looking to progress as high as possible this season.

As for the young Bees, they will be without Paris Maghoma and Joe Adams who are away on international duty, and Neil MacFarlane could potentially give minutes to new boys Lachlan Brook and Valgeir Valgeirsson.

Our hosts intend to live stream the fixture, going live from 10:30am, and this will be free of charge for supporters and we will ensure the link to watch is publicised on our channels. We will also provide social media updates, a full report of how the side fared, and post-match interviews.
