Lukas Talbro spoke to iFollow after his Brentford B side beat Manchester City U23 3-2 at Griffin Park on Tuesday evening. He reflected on the game and gave us his thoughts on the season overall.

"We had a good season and wanted to get a win here for our last game so yes, it was very good. It shows how good this group is. We were a goal down but showed character to get back and win 3-2.

"Winning makes the first few days of summer so much better. We can go now, enjoy the holiday and come back even better."

We asked Lukas what he has made of this season, with all the trips to Europe and some big matches at Griffin Park too.

"We had some good games," he said. "They have been tough games and overall it's been a good season with games that were of a really high quality."

"Every game is good for me," said Lukas, who has now played in 70 games in total for the B Team. "It's good to get those minutes and learn from every game.

"Every team has a different winger, some are more technical and some are quick. It's about learning about the opposition quickly and just going from there."

The 18-year-old reflected on the environment in the dressing room and praised the team for staying together this campaign.

"It's been really good," he said. "Everyone gets along well, everyone is good friends, there's no bad blood there. It makes it a bit more fun to talk Danish to some of them, like Mads Bech Sorensen and Nikolaj Kirk.

"Overall it's been great. The last Portugal trip was really good and obviously the games against Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have been very good."

Over 400 fans came to Griffin Park to support Kevin O'Connor's side in their final match of the term. The Head Coach gave his own thoughts to iFollow, which you can read here, and Lukas wanted to thank the supporters for coming out in West London.

"It's always nice when fans come down to show some support and they make an atmosphere out of it. Every player enjoys playing in front of a crowd so a huge thanks to them."

Lukas also told us what he would be up to in the summer. He said: "For the first few weeks I will be here trying to just get my mind off football and relax. Then I'll get ready for pre-season and another season with Brentford B."
