Another player on the scoresheet this week was Paris Maghoma.

The midfielder opened the scoring in Tuesday's 4-2 win at Wycombe Wanderers, his shot from the edge of the box squirming through Max Stryjek and trickling home.

Maghoma was withdrawn midway through the second half before two goals in the final five minutes confirmed victory for the Trotters.

Then on Saturday, Maghoma played the final 15 minutes at Valley Parade in Wanderers’ 2-0 win over Charlton.

That victory moves them level on points with Oxford United in second ahead of the weekend’s Emirates FA Cup first-round visit from Solihull Moors.

Fin Stevens and Oxford are hanging on to the second automatic promotion place despite taking one point from their two matches this week.

Stevens was an unused substitute in Tuesday night’s 2-0 defeat to Wigan Athletic before returning to the starting XI for Saturday’s visit from Wycombe.

The defender played 88 minutes as Cameron Branagan’s penalty six minutes into stoppage-time rescued a point following a 2-2 draw.

Without a win in three, Bradford can take their mind off the league this week with an EFL Trophy clash at home to Manchester United Under-21s on Tuesday before they welcome Wycombe in the FA Cup on Saturday.
