Paris Maghoma and MK Dons continue to inch towards Sky Bet League One safety following a fourth straight league draw on Saturday.

After Elliot Bonds’ early opener for Cheltenham Town, Mo Eisa’s double looked to have handed MK all three points. However, Alfie May scored seven minutes into injury time to deny the hosts at the death.

Maghoma played the full 90 minutes as MK look ahead to games at home to Charlton Athletic and away at Fleetwood Town this week.

Forest Green Rovers’ relegation to Sky Bet League Two was confirmed on Saturday with their 5-1 defeat at home to Barnsley. Myles Peart-Harris was a first-half substitute at The New Lawn and assisted Reece Brown’s late consolation for the home side.

Rovers host Fleetwood on Tuesday, before making the short trip to Cheltenham Town on Saturday.

Aaron Pressley played 80 minutes for Accrington Stanley, who slipped deeper into relegation trouble with a 5-2 defeat at home to Fleetwood.

Two goals down and a man down at the interval, Accrington rallied to make it 3-2 late on. However, Phoenix Patterson grabbed a fourth in injury time, before Jack Marriott completed his hat-trick to wrap up the points for the away side.

Two points from safety, Stanley host Peterborough on Tuesday night, before a long trip to Portsmouth at the weekend.

A slight knee injury kept Ellery Balcombe out of Bristol Rovers’ 1-1 draw at home to Derby County on Saturday.

The goals came at either end of this clash, with David McGoldrick giving the Rams a fourth-minute lead, which Antony Evans cancelled out from the spot five minutes into second-half injury time.

Firmly in mid-table, Rovers host Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow before heading up the M5 to Port Vale on Saturday.

Sky Bet Championship

Tariqe Fosu played 70 minutes of Rotherham United’s 2-0 defeat to Luton Town on Saturday. The goals came through Carlton Morris and Cauley Woodrow in a two-minute spell either side of half-time, ending the Millers’ three-game unbeaten run.

Three points above the drop zone, Rotherham host champions-elect Burnley on Tuesday night, before travelling to Bristol City on Saturday.

Halil Devisoglu wasn’t in the matchday squad for Burnley’s 0-0 draw away at Reading at the weekend. The Clarets will be crowned champions on Tuesday if they better Sheffield United’s result. They then host QPR at Turf Moor on Saturday.

Charlie Goode remains sidelined for Blackpool. In his absence, the Seasiders won the battle of the bottom two against Wigan Athletic, thanks to Jerry Yates’ second-minute strike. That win leaves Blackpool four points from safety with four to play.

They host West Bromwich Albion tomorrow night before heading to Birmingham City on Saturday.

Sky Bet League Two

Lachlan Brook played the final 40 minutes of Crewe Alexandra’s 2-0 victory over Walsall. First-half goals from Rod MacDonald and Chris Long settled the game, as Crewe made it three wins in four in the fourth tier.

The Railwaymen head to top-of-the-table Leyton Orient on Saturday.

Across the continent

Mads Bech was an unused substitute for FC Groningen’s 2-1 defeat at RKC Waalwijk on Saturday. Michiel Kramer’s second-half double, either side of a Ricardo Pepi strike, secured the points for the hosts.

Eight points from safety with five to play, Groningen host NEC in the Eredivisie on Saturday evening.

Joel Valencia wasn’t involved as De Graafschap came from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 at TOP OSS in the Eerste Divisie on Friday. Three points off the Play-Offs with five games to go, De Graafschap host Den Hag on Friday night.

Mads Bidstrup and FC Nordsjaelland will look to move back to the top of the Danish Superliga on Monday night when they travel to Randers. On Saturday, FCN are then away at Viborg.

Without Sergi Canos’ through injury, Olympiacos went out of the Greek Cup at the semi-final stage on Wednesday, despite a 2-1 win over AEK Athens. It wasn’t enough to turn around their 3-0 deficit from the first leg.

The two meet again in the Greek Super League this Sunday.
