Tristan Crama marked his return to Exeter City’s starting XI with a televised 2-0 win at Shrewsbury Town on Thursday evening.
The French defender, who was absent from the Grecians’ victory over Cambridge in their previous outing prior to the international break through illness, played the full 90 minutes and, as well as playing a part in securing a club-record fifth-successive clean sheet in the third tier, also helped create the second goal.
He received the ball 35 yards out from goal and turned his man before finding Jack Aitchison, with the latter then drilling in a low cross, which Josh Magennis converted from close range.
Crama could feature again on Tuesday night when fifth-placed Exeter host Reading, aiming to make it four wins on the bounce.
Elsewhere in the third tier, Michael Olakigbe was replaced at half-time for Wigan Athletic, who lost 2-0 at Cambridge United, courtesy of two goals inside the opening 22 minutes.
The Latics, who were unbeaten in their previous seven games across all competitions prior to the weekend, host Mansfield on Tuesday evening.
Myles Peart-Harris was a second-half substitute for Swansea, who were defeated 1-0 at Blackburn. The midfielder replaced Liam Cullen in the 72nd minute at Ewood Park.
Frank Onyeka started for FC Augsburg in their 3-1 Bundesliga defeat at SC Freiburg; while, in Hungary, Val Adedokun came on in the 64th minute of Diósgyőri’s 2-0 home loss to MTK Budapest.
Finally, Ellery Balcombe and Ben Winterbottom were both in goal as St Mirren and AFC Fylde fell to 4-0 defeats at Hearts and Dagenham and Redbridge, respectively.
