Paris Maghoma’s Bolton Wanderers and Fin Stevens’ Oxford United took a point each from their huge clash at the top of the Sky Bet League One on Tuesday.

Bolton and Oxford went into the game separated by just three points either side of the automatic promotion line and that was how it stayed after a goalless draw at Kassam Stadium.

Maghoma was withdrawn 13 minutes from time, while Stevens played the full 90 minutes.

That draw came ahead of a pair of Emirates FA Cup victories for the duo.

Maghoma played the final 14 minutes of a 5-1 victory over Harrogate Town while Stevens completed the 90 minutes in a 2-0 win over Grimsby Town.

This week’s action sees Bolton host Port Vale in the EFL Trophy before heading to Sky Bet League One leaders Portsmouth on Saturday.

Oxford are at Forest Green Rovers in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday night and then at fifth-placed Peterborough United this weekend.

Ryan Trevitt and Exeter City earned just their second point in 10 matches with a 0-0 draw at home to Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday night.

Trevitt played 90 minutes as Exeter remained just the right side of the League One relegation zone. The Grecians head to Port Vale this weekend.

Matt Cox and Tristan Crama were denied all three points by a 93rd-minute own goal against Leyton Orient on Tuesday night.

Cox started the game at the Memorial Stadium while Crama was a late substitute. And it was the defender’s unfortunate late own goal which denied the Gas all three points in the 1-1 draw.

Rovers visit Crawley Town in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday night before a home league game against neighbours Cheltenham Town.

Daniel Oyegoke and Ben Winterbottom both remain out injured, missing their respective fixtures for Bradford City and Welling United last weekend.
