It now looks like a matter of when, not if, Myles Peart-Harris and Portsmouth will secure promotion from Sky Bet League One following back-to-back wins over the past seven days.

Peart-Harris played 84 minutes on Tuesday night as a Kusini Yengi double saw off Burton Albion at Fratton Park.

Then on Saturday, the midfielder was withdrawn just after the hour mark as Yengi was again the match winner, this time away at promotion rivals Peterborough United.

Those results leve Pompey nine points clear of third with just seven to play. Portsmouth’s next action comes on 29 March at Wycombe Wanderers before a huge clash at home to second-placed Derby County four days later.

Michael Olakigbe was an unused substitute for Posh in that game against Portsmouth on Saturday, which ended their six-game winning streak.

Olakigbe was also an unused substitute on Wednesday night in Peterborough’s 3-1 victory over Stevenage.

Fourth in the table, seven points off the automatic promotion places with a game in hand, Peterborough are at home to Carlisle United and away at Leyton Orient over the Easter weekend.

It was a mixed week for Paris Maghoma and Bolton Wanderers. On Tuesday night, Maghoma impressed as Bolton thrashed Fin Stevens’ Oxford United 5-0 at Toughsheet Community Stadium.

But Wanderers were then beaten 1-0 by Derby on Saturday, a result which leaves them four points off the automatic promotion places.

Maghoma, who was awarded the League One Goal of the Month prize for February, played the full game against Oxford and 84 minutes against Derby.

Bolton are also without a game this weekend due to international call-ups, returning to action on Good Friday at Stevenage before hosting Reading 72 hours later.

Stevens was withdrawn at half-time against Bolton in midweek and then didn’t feature on Saturday as the U’s climbed back into the play-off places with a 2-0 win at Port Vale.

Oxford head to Shrewsbury Town in 11 days’ time before hosting Fleetwood on Easter Monday.

Charlie Goode played 90 minutes in midweek as Wigan Athletic were beaten 1-0 at Wycombe Wanderers.

The defender was then a late substitute on Saturday in the Latics’ victory at home to Blackpool; Scott Smith getting the only goal midway through the first half.

The Easter action sees 11th-placed Wigan at home to Burton Albion before travelling to Cambridge United.

Matt Cox and Tristan Crama were both unused substitutes for Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night in their goalless draw at Fleetwood.

Crama then played the first 28 minutes of their 5-0 defeat at Lincoln City on Saturday. Cox wasn’t in the squad with Rovers at Port Vale and then at home to Shrewsbury Town after the international break.

Daniel Oyegoke returned to action with Bradford City for the first time since November. The defender played the final eight minutes of their 5-1 defeat at home to Mansfield Town, having been an unused substitute in midweek for their 2-0 loss to Forest Green.

Seven points off the play-offs with two games in hand, the Bantams host Notts County tomorrow night before heading to Harrogate Town on Saturday.
