Myles Peart-Harris made a winning start to life with Portsmouth, playing 90 minutes for the Sky Bet League One leaders in their 1-0 victory at Port Vale on Saturday.

After joining on Monday, the midfielder went straight into a Pompey side who took the points thanks to Colby Bishop’s 88th-minute penalty.

Two points clear at the top, Portsmouth travel to fellow promotion-chasers Oxford United on Tuesday night before a home game against Northampton Town on Saturday.

Portsmouth’s closest challengers are Paris Maghoma’s Bolton Wanderers after they took maximum points this week.

Maghoma played 75 minutes on Tuesday night as Bolton beating Cheltenham Town 1-0, before scoring the second of Wanderers’ goals in their 4-1 victory at Carlisle United on Saturday.

The Trotters’ travel to Blackpool in the EFL Trophy quarter-final on Tuesday night before travelling to Barnsley at the weekend.

A pair of defeats this week have dropped Fin Stevens and Oxford out of the top six for the first time since early September.

Stevens started both matches, playing an hour in the 1-0 defeat to Barnsley on Tuesday before completing the full 90 in a 3-1 defeat to Bristol Rovers on Saturday.

After that home game against Portsmouth on Tuesday night, Oxford host Reading in the Thames Valley derby on Saturday.

Bristol Rovers’ victory over Oxford on Saturday saw another 90 minutes for Tristan Crama at the heart of the Gas defence, while Matt Cox was an unused substitute.

Both players did complete the 90 minutes four days earlier as Rovers were beaten 1-0 at home by Exeter City.

Saturday’s victory ended a four-game losing streak which sees Bristol Rovers sit 11th in the table, 12 points off the play-offs ahead of Saturday’s trip to Exeter.

Charlie Goode also made his debut for a new club this week, playing 87 minutes of Wigan Athletic’s 1-0 victory at home to Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday night.

An injury to the referee just before the hour led to 20 minutes of additional time and Wigan used every second of it to score a 110th-minute winner through Charlie Hughes.

Goode picked up a shoulder injury early on in that game which caused him to miss Saturday’s 3-2 defeat to Stevenage which leaves the Latics’ 13th in the table, and facing a trip to third-placed Peterborough United on Saturday.

Daniel Oyegoke is yet to make his return from injury for a free-falling Bradford City in Sky Bet League Two.

Ben Winterbottom didn’t feature in either of Welling United’s games this week, the three points they picked up leaving them seven from safety in the National League South.
