The rain which caused the postponement of Brentford’s npower League One fixture against Stevenage also decimated the non-league programme.

The Bees were frustrated in their attempts to climb to the top of the League One table and six young Brentford players out on loan were also left kicking their heels.

Development Squad central defender Alfie Mawson is on loan at Maidenhead United.

Their Blue Square Bet South game against Sutton United was postponed.

Luke Norris is at fellow Blue Square Bet South side Boreham Wood.

They were due to play Hayes and Yeading United yesterday, Saturday December 22, but that was also called off.

Development Squad defender Sam Griffiths is on loan at Ryman Premier League Carshalton Athletic, as is Josh Clarke.

Carshalton were due to play Wingate and Finchley but that game also fell foul to the elements.

Josh, 18, is in the second year of a two-year scholarship but qualifies for the Club’s Under-21 side due to his age and is at Carshalton on a work experience deal.

Tyrell Miller-Rodney and Sam Beale are with Northwood, of the Evo-Stick Southern League Central Division, on the same work experience basis.

Northwood were set to face Slough Town yesterday but that game was also postponed.

All six are scheduled to play on Boxing Day and www.brentfordfc.co.uk will keep up to date with their progress.
