Defender Luka Racic made his first start for Northampton Town on Saturday. The 21-year-old will spend the 2020/21 season on loan with Sky Bet League One side. After playing for them in a friendly against West Bromwich Albion's Under-23 side last Tuesday afternoon he started against Luton Town on Saturday.

Luke started in a back three in the match, which was level at the interval. Northampton conceded three times to Luton after Luka had been withdrawn just past the hour mark and the Championship side took a 3-0 win. Northampton's next game will be a Carabao Cup tie against Cardiff City next week.

Luka is one of two Brentford players out on loan at present. B Team midfield player Jaakko Oksanen is with AFC Wimbledon, also in League One. Wimbledon did not have a friendly this weekend and start their season with an EFL Trophy game against Charlton Athletic on Tuesday, 1 September.
