In Sky Bet League One there was another full match for Dom Thompson for Swindon, but his side fell to a 2-0 defeat away from home against Portsmouth. Ronan Curtis netted early on before Ellis Harrison found the net from a second half penalty to confirm the three points at Fratton Park. Swindon are now 22nd in the table and will take on Bristol Rovers this weekend, a side who are equally in need of three points.

Doncaster Rovers’ fine form was brought to an end on Tuesday as they were beaten 3-1 away from home at Fleetwood. Ellery Balcombe grabbed another 90 minutes for the side, who actually went ahead on eight minutes, but three second half strikes from the hosts ensured they would take the points. Doncaster are now fifth in the league table, four points off top spot Lincoln and Rovers still have two games in hand on them so they’ll be looking to bounce back quickly to take advantage.

There was no midweek action for Jaakko Oksanen’s AFC Wimbledon this week. The side sit 19th in the table and will be looking to build on their recent win at Wigan when they host Rochdale on Saturday.

In Sky Bet League Two there was an important three points for Stevenage as they won their match late on away at Tranmere Rovers. Danny Newton grabbed the all-important goal in the 1-0 win as the side now sit 21st in the table. Arthur Read was an unused substitute on the night.

In the same division there was no match for Grimsby Town under the lights as they are in preparation for their match this weekend with Tranmere. Joe Adams, who earned his debut last week for Town at Newport, will be aiming to get more minutes under his belt and make a home debut.

There wasn’t any game time for our loan players in Europe in midweek, but some matches for the loan clubs went ahead as Galatasaray lost 3-2 in the Turkish Cup to Alanyaspor. Halil Dervişoğlu wasn't involved in the match, whilst Joel Valencia was an unused sub for Legia Warsaw as they beat ŁKS Łódź away from home 3-2 in the Polish Cup. Bartosz Slisz, Luquinhas and Tomas Pekhart grabbed the goals on the road for Legia.

Kasımpaşa S.K. will take on Galatasaray this weekend, and Julian Jeanvier is still missing through a long-term injury. As for Patrik Gunnarsson, he could get some league action at the weekend as Silkeborg face Hvidovre.
