On English soil there was a first West Ham United start for Saïd Benrahma as The Hammers came from behind to beat Leeds United 2-1 at Elland Road. Tomáš Souček cancelled out an early Mateusz Klich penalty before Angelo Ogbonna netted the winner with a towering header.
In Sky Bet League One there was no game time for Jan Žambůrek, Luka Racic or Jaakko Oksanen. Jan was missing from the match day squad for Shrewsbury as they picked up an excellent 1-0 win away at top of the table Hull City, and Luka’s Northampton fell to a 2-1 defeat away at Crewe- despite going ahead on just three minutes at Gresty Road.
Jaakko continues to recover from injury as he missed The Dons’ 5-2 defeat away from home at Charlton Athletic.
In Sky Bet League Two, Arthur Read was an unused substitute as Stevenage fell to a 4-0 defeat away at Carlisle United. There were first-half goals from Nick Anderton, Joshua Kayode and Lewis Alessandra before Joe Riley notched a fourth for the home side, whilst Luke Prosser was sent off for Stevenage. They now sit in 23rd in the league table with 13 points.
