Jack Bonham couldn't prevent Carlisle United slipping to defeat at home to Coventry City on Saturday despite saving a penalty late on. Marc McNulty, who had opened the scoring five minutes after the break, was the man to be denied from 12 yards as Jack impressed at Brunton Park. The defeat brought United's perfect Christmas to an end and leaves them 13th in the table, six points off the Play-Offs. The Cumbrians' festive fixtures come to an end tomorrow with a trip to Mansfield Town.

Elsewhere neither Zain Westbrooke or Tom Field were involved on Saturday as Leyton Orient and Bradford City enjoyed contrasting fortunes at home. The O's suffered a 1-0 defeat against Bromley while The Bantams got the better of Oxford United in a five-goal thriller at the Northern Commercials Stadium.
