The forward played right up until injury time before being substituted in a game where the Turkish side went ahead in the first half through Sofiane Feghouli but the away side hit back with a goal of their own on 72 minutes.

Galatasaray are still top of their group with eight points and look in a positive position to qualify for the next stage of the competition. This weekend they return to league action against Fatih Karagümrük.

There hasn’t been any other midweek minutes for our players out on loan but all will be aiming for minutes this weekend.

On home soil it’s Emirates FA Cup weekend as Aaron Pressley’s AFC Wimbledon host non-league Guiseley at Plough Lane. Ellery Balcombe’s Burton Albion head to Fleetwood Town whilst Alex Gilbert’s Swindon Town are also on their travels in the Cup as they face Crewe Alexandra.

As for Jaakko Oksanen in Scotland, his Greenock Morton side travel to Dunfermline looking to take the positivity from a late equaliser last time out into their Scottish Championship fixture.
