The tie was evenly poised going into the second leg in Catalonia at 0-0 and it was actually the Turkish side who broke the deadlock on 28 minutes when defender Marcao found the net with a diving header.

Pedri then found the equaliser for the home side as he received a pass from Ferran Torres before he tucked home from close range to make it 1-1. Just a few minutes into the second half it was Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who grabbed the winner with a header to knock Galatasaray out of the competition. Halil played the final 16 minutes of the tie and the side will now set their sights on Turkish Super Lig action as they face Gaziantep FK on Sunday.

Other midweek action overseas saw Lachlan Brook feature for Adelaide United. They picked up a 2-1 defeat at home to Western Sydney Wanderers on Wednesday. United actually went ahead on eight minutes through Craig Goodwin before the away side levelled before half-time. Phillip Cancar then found the winner 15 minutes from time which leaves Adelaide third in the top tier of Australian football. Lachlan started the match and played 62 minutes before being substituted. They will look to bounce back when they play against Western Sydney Wanderers once again on Sunday, but this time away from home.

In England, there were more minutes for Ellery Balcombe in the National League as his Bromley side were beaten 1-0 away from home at FC Halifax Town. Luke Summerfield grabbed the game's only goal on 64 minutes from 25 yards and the side will now look to bounce back against Wrexham at home this weekend. They currently sit 10th in the league table.

There was Sky Bet Championship action earlier this week, though neither Charlie Goode nor Marcus Forss featured. Marcus was involved in the match day squad for Hull City in their 2-0 win at Coventry City though the forward remained on the bench. Both goals came in the first half from Richie Smallwood and Ryan Longman to leave the side 19th in the league table and they will host Luton Town on Saturday. As for Charlie, he wasn't involved in the match day squad as Sheffield United drew 0-0 with Blackpool. The side face Barnsley at home on Saturday.

Looking ahead to potential game time for the rest of our loan players this weekend, Dom Thompson will be aiming to keep up his fantastic run of regular minutes for Ipswich Town in Sky Bet League One as they head to Oxford United.

In Europe, Joel Valencia's AD Alcorcón travel to Amorebieta on Sunday, and Mads Bidstrup's FC Nordsjælland face Copenhagen on Sunday in the top tier of Danish football. Luka Racic's HB Køge are in action tonight as they face FC Fredericia.
