This weekend saw EMILIANO MARCONDES score twice as FC Nordsjælland won 4-1 against Aarhus GF in the Danish Superliga. The 22-year-old scored from open play in the 48th minute before getting one from the penalty spot with 12 to go.

The win puts FCN second in the table, level on 29 points with top spot side FC Midtjylland. Their next opponents are Hobro IK in the Danish Cup on Wednesday 1 November. Hobro are the newest team in the Superliga, having been promoted as First Division champions last season.

Elsewhere in Europe, KONSTANTIN KERSCHBAUMER's Arminia Bielefeld suffered their third defeat in a row. Kerschbaumer played 59 minutes as his side lost 3-1 to Ingolstadt before being replaced by Keanu Staude.

The match saw each team go down to 10 men inside the first 26 minutes. First, the visitors lost Marcel Gaus to two yellow cards within 13 minutes. Then Arminia's Brian Behrendt saw a straight red in the 26th minute.

Bielefeld now face FC Erzgebirge on Sunday 5 November in Bundesliga 2, looking to end their poor run of form.

TOM FIELD had a better weekend in comparison. His Bradford City side beat Portsmouth 1-0 at Fratton Park. He got the full 90 minutes in front of 1,000 away fans, helping the team to three more points and third spot in the table.

Their next match is Chesterfield in the FA Cup on Saturday 4 November. In the league, Chesterfield drew 2-2 with JACK BONHAM's Carlisle United on Saturday.

Jak McCourt and Danny Grainger cancelled each other out with strikes either side of half time. Richie Bennett had then given United the lead after 73 minutes, only for Chesterfield to find an equaliser through Kristian Dennis with only a few minutes remaining.

Bonham still had time to make a save from Joe Rowley to keep the score level in the dying moments. This takes Carlisle to 16th in League Two, an FA Cup tie with Oldham Athletic next up on the schedule on 4 November.

Finally, ZAIN WESTBROOKE got the full 90 minutes on his first start for Leyton Orient on Saturday. The Reds drew 2-2 with Wrexham away from home; Macauley Bonne and Mark Ellis scoring the Orient goals. The point puts the team 19th in the National League, slowly recovering from a poor start to life outside the EFL.

They too face an FA Cup fixture in their next game, this one their biggest test of the season away at League One Gillingham on Saturday 4 November.
