What’s it like to move to a new club in a higher division only to immediately face lockdown? How does a professional footballer stay match fit…when he can’t play any matches? Shandon joined The Bees from Oxford United at the end of January, making the step from Sky Bet League One to the second tier. He had found a place to live, played six games and become somewhat settled before lockdown fully took hold. But how does a player prove himself in a new club, if he can’t play any football?
