Brentford’s winning run in October that has propelled them up the Sky Bet Championship table has earned two Bees recognition. Brentford won four Championship matches in succession last month and that run has earned Head Coach Lee Carsley a nomination for the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month award for October. Midfielder Alan Judge has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for October.
Brentford’s form in October, 12 points from five league games, included Brentford's first success against West London rivals Queens Park Rangers for 50 years. Lee has been nominated alongside Paul Clement (Derby County); Sean Dyche (Burnley), and Steve Bruce (Hull City).
The judging panel comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery
Alan's nomination came after his sparkling form has earned him a call-up to the Republic of Ireland squad. This season he has scored six goals and contributed five assists. The Irishman has been nominated along with Barry Bannan (Sheffield Wednesday); former Brentford striker Andre Gray (Burnley), and Paul Robinson (Birmimgham City).
The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Head of Communications John Nagle; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.
The winners of the awards will be announced tomorrow, Friday November 6, at 6am.
